Picture of the Week

19th May 2017

The train and Nagatoro!

This picture was taken in Nagatoro, the adventure I planned. We went off the path and went down to the water front, I was just about to take the picture you see now when the train decided to cross, perfect timing :)

A quick snap!

This is another picture from Showa Memorial Park. While I was waiting for Louise, I decided to take a picture of the sunset and the fountain, whilst looking for the best location I noticed these two girls sitting the perfect distance from each other and couldn't resist :)

The picture is a bit noisy, but hey, I like it :)

What company are you calling from? http://imagefap.in.net/ www imagefap.com No, these Medicare exchanges are completely different, butthey do sound alike - and that is causing confusion for someretirees, who are asking what the Affordable Care Act exchangelaunch means to them.<br />

Our trip to Nagatoro on the last day of the Golden Week.

Nagatoro is located in Saitama, north-west of Tokyo. Connor had planned the whole trip and it took us about 2 hours and a half just to get there. We had lunch in the beautiful Hitsujiyama park where hundreds of flowers were in bloom - it was a riot of colour. We then went to the famous Nagatoro riverside gorge area for an amazing easy rock-climbing adventure. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed the time there, thank you so much for such a wonderful day Connor Xxx

More flowers from Showa Memorial Park!

This park was filled with amazing flowers, I felt very sorry for Louise as for about two hours, all she heard was "Sorry Louise... can I borrow your phone...".
I should mention, I only use Louise's phone now to take pictures, it's simply amazing!

Connor wasn't sure which picture to upload as the POW.
I like the one with the roses, He says.
Me: Oh you mean the tulips?
Connor: What? But they are red!

It could almost be Amsterdam ;)

The waterfront of Enoshima!

Just a nice picture of me on the rocks of Enoshima, a small island south of Kamakura. Lucky we were there as the tide was coming in so we were able to see some massive waves hit against the rocks, a couple got stuck on some rocks for a while as the waves stopped them from returning, scary stuff...

Should mention it was very windy, hence the crazy hair :D

A day in the Imperial Gardens!

Today we popped the Tokyo Station (in Tokyo) and visited the Imperial Gardens, last time we visited the gardens was nearly two years ago and it was about 36 degrees, today was a little better at just over 27 degrees. Louise made the observation that we only every visit this garden when it's so damn hot lol, all in all, lovely day.

3rd May 2017

A Day in the Park.

Last weekend, Louise and I went to Showa Kinen Park, the biggest park I've ever been to, it takes 2 hour to walk from one end to the other, massive.
As we arrived, it started pouring with rain, so unlucky but after 20 minutes it stopped and it produced the best conditions for photographs, as a result I didn't film any of it lol.
Here's a picture of the entrance to the park as we were leaving.

What a lovely picture in the land of the setting sun

Shibuya by Night.

This picture was taken a while ago whilst the family was still in Japan. Louise and I often go to Shibuya but rarely by night. I see this as a typical picture of Tokyo by night with all the massive screens

You know I've never seen "Blade Runner" before. I think I'll add it to my 'watch-list'

A must see in Tokyo

20th April 2017

Tsukuba Botanical Garden

This picture was taken on the 19th of February.
Louise was given a task to translate a leaflet for a place called 'Tsukuba' a town just north of Tokyo. When Louise had completed the translation, we decided to visit Tsukuba with the idea of doing some of the activities on the leaflet. Getting to Tsukuba was easy, getting around Tsukuba was a pain lol. The buses had very strict time tables and if you misses the first bus, you had to wait a long time for the next and you guessed it, we missed the first bus, sounds similar to Yamanaka :)
